Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "FAST - Topcoder Event Print Material Challenge". In this challenge, we are looking for your help to create two standing banners and one front T-shirt design that able to speaks and presenting the Topcoder Community. We will use the design in any events that Topcoder taking parts. Please keep in mind your design should match with our latest branding,  easily adjustable and reproduce when needed.

BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
  • The goal of the challenge is designing materials such as banners and a T-shirt template that will be used during events that Topcoder participated in. The design needs to be able to showcase and introduce what is Topcoder really about, the community, the competition tracks that we have and invite new potential members to join the community.

CHALLENGE FORUM
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
We will need two banners and a T-shirt front template design here. We need a design that is visually attractive and embodies the competitive spirit of Topcoder. You may use Topcoder photos gallery from the Flickr album that suits your design (you can find the link on the documentation/assets section). Imagine you attend an event and see the standing banner, it should become the center of attention and makes people want to know more about Topcoder.

1.Standing Banner 1 
  • It needs to visualize the Topcoder community! When you see this standing banner, you will need to feel that you want to be a part of that team, you may use the Topcoder imagery event of the past as your part of the design, with headlines text to “Join Topcoder” or related. Include a link to register in this banner: http://bit.ly/tc-ina

2. Standing Banner 2 
  • Speaking about all Topcoder tracks:
    • Competitive Programming
    • Data Science
    • Design 
    • Development
    • QA
  • Give some short highlights of each tracks so visitors can understand what each track is mostly about when they see the banner. 

3. T-Shirt Graphic
  • Need design for the front T-shirt area, we will print the design in a black t-shirt so your design should have good contrast with this color base, you can use the mockup files provided as your base to showcase or feel free to make your own. Remember you are designing for print media. This means no gradients and please try to stay away from designs that are too intricate, as they would be hard to reproduce on fabric. Max 3 Color for T-Shirt 

IMPORTANT
  • Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles should work together
  • All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance

  • X Standing Banner: 60cm x 160cm, in Vector Format and PDF
  • T-Shirt: Max 3 Colors

SUBMISSION AND SOURCE FILES
Preview Image
  • Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place your submissions within it. 
 
Submission Files
  • All requested screen Deliverables in JPG or PNG file format in RGB color mode at 72dpi.
 
Source Files
  • All original source VECTOR files and PDF versions of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Sketch and saved as layered AI, EPS or Sketch file with 300dpi resolution.
 
FINAL FIX
  • As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify colors or fonts

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

SUBMISSION FORMAT:

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

Screening:

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
