What is Bodymovin and How to Use It
- Bodymovin is an extension of Adobe After Effects that can export an animation into JSON file, which can then be loaded on a website.
- Lottie is a mobile library for Web, Android and iOS that parses Adobe After Effects animations exported as JSON with Bodymovin and renders them natively on mobile!
- Bodymovin is compatible with After Effects CC (2014) 13.0 - CC (2019) 16.0.so you need to use one of this versions of After Effects for the extension to work
- Here’s a step by step guideline on how to install the Bodymovin extension (don’t forget to do all the steps after installation as well) or follow this video guide
- Once you have installed the extension, you can export your animation in JSON format and preview it here: https://lottiefiles.com/preview
