BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
  • CHIME is running a Business that monitoring and taking care of Brand and Ads intelligence, reputation, management, and operations.
  • They might have a customer that wants to scan the internet and find out what people say about their brands, how their ads running, and how it can influence their top-level management decision that will affect their revenue later.
  • Currently, the process happens by asking CHIME employees to manually sitting and actually monitoring the Ads. For example, CHIME will manually assign their employees to watch an entire program on TV or the Internet just to find out what time an Ads for the customer happening on the program and analyze the Ads performance.
  • In this challenge, we want to automate the entire process using AI (Artificial Intelligence). The new automated process will identify customer brand from any program in any media (TV, Radio, Print - scanned in a feed-in system manually by another user, Internet, etc), like their logos in a particular scene, screen, or frame, their brand name, etc. It also needs to detect and pulling out necessary information like if there are any celebrities in the ads on radio or anything that will affect how the ads performing.
  • The automated process will be split into two parts:
    • Act intelligence is all about print, audio, video, internet ads, and how we can automatically derive as much context as possible from these media
    • Reputation intelligence is about monitoring what’s being spoken about the customer brand, and providing a lot of contexts about the content, how was the return of the ads, who was doing the content, was there someone in the article, and various things like that.

CHALLENGE GOAL
  • We are looking for an engaging and innovative AI base Ads application design concept that able to provide seamless UI and UX experience for the user when using the app

USER STORY
  • Ravi is Senior Analyst in CHIME. His team wants to find out reports for Starbuck Brand Ads for the last one week. So his team asked Yoki, IT Operator (Not in scope) to upload all the media contents from last week into the system. Now Ravi, Senior Analyst logs into the CHIME system to see any queue active for process. He first lands on Homepage where he sees his previously ran queues (Classify-dedup queue or Attribution or Ad segmentation queue) and it's the batch list. He got notified that his Classify-Dedup queue got ready for the process which has batches of last week media contents uploaded by Yoki. He selects classify -Dedup queue in the menu and sees list of batches. He selects one particular and clicks the "Process" button. As AI system already feeds with their customer brand settings, It will process all the batches one by one and shows reports like OCR confidence, Logo Confidence, Product Confidence, Brand Confidence and Overall Confidence percentage at the end. He then segregates those processed batches into two. 95% and above will be passed the process. Below 95% confidence batches will need to evaluate manually. So Ravi uses appropriate options under navigation like Classify, Enrich, Segment where he enters URL or uploads media content which needs to manually evaluated (These screens not in current scope). Once he has done all, he navigates to dashboard where he sees collective reports of all the queue he done and he can able to pull a report from there to finds out all Starbuck ad details and submits to his team.

CHALLENGE FORUM
SCREEN REQUIREMENTS
For this challenge, we are focused on the listed pages to be designed/considered in your concepts. The screen functionality details listed below are suggested functionality for consideration. Do not allow the suggestions below to impact the creativity of design. If there is a better way to accomplish the same goal, then feel free to take creative liberties. Do some research on great Ads Management applications based on AI!

00) General Requirements
  • We need a simple or placeholder logo for this application
  • Use CHIME as the application name
  • We would like to see a world-class UI design appearance for the application
  • The Application needs to have the capability to see the application as a whole platform (through the menu at the top of the page) and then able to view it as an operational queues view (through the menu at the left of the page).

01) Login Screen
  • Please view the wireframe page 1 as a reference
  • Provide login form (username, password, login button, signup/register, forgot password, etc)
  • Provide error login scenario for a failed login attempt
  • What can we do to improve the login screen experience, how about making this page as part of the marketing page too? etc?
  • Make this page interactive, informative, and exciting, please remember, this login page will be the first page that user see and it will affect user experience and judgment when using the app

02) Home Screen
  • Please view the wireframe Page 2 and 3 as a reference
  • Once the user successfully login to the app, they will see the home screen by default
  • Please design the Platform Menus (top-level navigation, along with the sub-menus, see page 3 in the wireframe) and the Operation Queue Menus (left-side navigation)
  • Please see the Top Level Menu explanation below:
    • Home purpose is to show the Home Screen, User will see current active Queue or previous  queue details
    • Classify purpose is to classify things, when the apps looking at ads, it will classify the ads into a different format in various different ways
    • Enrich purpose is to add more context into particular ads, so for example, you can enrich particular ads by making the ads being featured by celebrities, or suggesting ads will be more informative if it changes to different colors, etc
    • Segment purpose is to segment ads and find the time/schedule where the ads performing in a program - start/end
    • Dashboard purpose is to view overall batch statistic - manual and automated
  • Left side Menu  (reference only, you are free to redesign the left side menu - no need to follow the wireframes):
    • Classify and De-Dedup queue, show list of ads that have been classified and provide some view where user can see any ads that look similar to the others so the user can decide whether they want to continue with the ads or doing other things with it
    • Attribution Queue (out of scope)
    • Ad Segmentation Queue (out of scope)
  • Main Content Explanation (reference only, you are free to redesign the home screen content - no need to follow the wireframes):
    • Currently Active Queue, by default it will show “none” value because the user just open the app for the first time and they not yet selecting any batches to get processed (returning user will see numbers of the active queue because they already select batches from the queue)
    • No Currently processed queue, it should show a list of the batches that currently being processed by the system selected by the user.
    • Last Run Queue, showing information about the last batch from an active queue run by the particular user
    • Classify and De-Dup, showing a list of the batches that already being processed for the classify and de-dup action (duplicates ads, etc)
    • Batch, is a collection of media ads contains ads like video, audio, or image files, etc. This will show the batch number/id (the media ads will be collected by another user)
    • Number of Items, is a total media ads that available inside a batch
    • Auto Processed Items, is a total media ads that being processed by the AI
    • No Sent to Manual Queue, is a total media ad that being forwarded by the system for manual checking by a human. This is happening because the AI is not confident about the content and needs human involvement in it. Manual process means the human will need to check the content manually (reading, watching, and analyze the content) - think of an additional screens that able to allow user to open the manual item and doing checking to it or just a list of the media content that needs to be checking like the media type, name, size, etc.

03) Classify & Dedup Queue Screen
  • Please view the wireframe Page 4 as a reference
  • User can see this page once they click the left menu “Classify & De-dup queue”
  • It will show currently active batches in queue that will get classify and de-duplicate

  • Once it gets processed, it should show a list of media ads (show the ID) being processed with the confidence value in it (OCR, Logo, Product, Brand, Overall)
  • If the confidence value is below 95%, the media ads will automatically send to media item to the manual queue, and if it’s above 95%, it will be marked as processed item
  • Will be great to be able to see the processing progress for each batch, how long each media items in the batch getting processed, etc
  • The wireframe showing advance form for this page where there is an additional field added to the screen like Published date, Input Arrival Date, Processed Date, and Batch Type.

04) Dashboard Screen
  • Please view the wireframe Page 5 as a reference
  • In the dashboard screen, User will be able to see the summary of efficiency from all the processed Batch that has been done in the app.
  • It should show a list of all media items that have been processed for under "classify & de-dup, attribution, and ad segmentation" -  and the number of items being successfully processed automatically and a number of items that need to be manually processed.
  • Will be great to see it in various ways of appearance (chart, tablet, etc)
  • Will be great if the user can dig down to the numbers to see list of the media that has been processed in the queue
  • This screen should be rich in visualization that showing useful data and information to the user
