Challenge Overview

Welcome to the “Juno - React Native Augmented Reality Application Challenge”. In this challenge, we are looking to build a new application using React Native.

This project is a Proof of Concept, so the entire application will be larger than what we are designing here and this is the reason we are not going to show all the user flows.
 

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Deliver a mobile app for a augmented reality (AR) experience that engages and informs consumers on the vehicle protection products available with their vehicle purchase.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Create a new application with the screens in scope using web Augmented Reality functionalities
  • Design source will be provided in the forum
  • The following screens are in scope:

    • 03-03 Virtual car calibrationFF.png
    • 03-05 Virtual car calibration DoneFF.png
    • 03-00 Virtual car calibration and User Experience.gif
  • The main goal of the challenge is to achieve the user experience show in 03-00 Virtual car calibration and User Experience.gif:
    • ���Place the car in a horizontal plane
    • Show images on the different car parts (engine, transmission, etc)
    • Allow showing different parts of the cars by moving the camera around
    • Show 2D controls: top left menu, top dropdown, bottom menu (they don't need to do anything)

  • Any 3D car model from the web that looks like the one in the design is ok
