Full Description & Project Guide
In this challenge we are looking for your help to design 1 banner for promoting the 2020 Topcoder Design Month. As many of you have heard, unfortunately our dear member and friend, Gh3ablo, has passed away this month so we are going to dedicate this month from now on to him.
For each banner type, we also wish to see another 2 banner options. This can include some colors or image variations. You can do this only for the first, concept banner, but if you win you will be asked to create the other banners as part of the final fixes.
1. Design Month Banner
Each banner should include the following:
- Topcoder logo
- Title “Design Month”
- Subtitle: “In memory of Gh3ablo”
- Date: May 1 – 31, 2020
Here’s what we had last year (don't copy!). We want to make something as exciting as this one and even more!
We will need to have the banners design in several sizes (width x height):
- Topcoder Dashboard: 1538px x 583px
- Social Media: 1000px x 1000px
- Chameleon: 710px x 296px
- Email header: 560px x 270px
These banners should follow as style the new topcoder.com and TCO20 site look and feel. Think about using blobs and the existing color palette defined in the branding section. As many people will be viewing this and we will promote it on social media as well, we’d like the designs to look exciting so please use your creativity at best.
As part of this design month, we will have Workshop Wednesday live chat with Topcoder admins and members. You can see here an example of what we did last year. The overall theme should be connected to the Design Month (WW2019 banner example).
2. Workshop Wednesday Banner
The Workshop Wednesday banners should include:
- Topcoder logo
- Title “Workshop Wednesday #1”
- Date: May 6, 2020 at 10:00 UTC-4
- The photos with handles and roles of the members/admins joining the workshop
We will need to have the banners design in several sizes (width x height):
- Topcoder Dashboard: 1538px x 583px
- Social Media: 1000px x 1000px
- Youtube: 1200px x 675px
3. Jessie’s Design Month Dash
Last year Jessie ran a super large challenge called “Jessie’s Design Month Dash” which included many designers and judges from the company and had as prizes 1 trip to TCO19, which actually extended to 3 trips!! We’re planning to run that challenge again and we need a promo banner for it. This is the example we had last year (don’t copy!)
Content to include:
- “Jessie’s Design Month Dash”
- “Win a Trip to TCO”
This banner shall be designed for the following sizes:
- Challenge Details: 680px x 120px
- Topcoder Dashboard: 1538px x 583px
- Social Media: 1000px x 1000px
