  • 1 screen
  • Desktop size

  • Topcoder How to Become a Member Infographic

Project Background
  • The purpose of this project is to create an infographic to show new potential members how to fully onboard
  • By looking at the designs, the viewers should get a quickly understanding of what steps they should follow
  • The infographic will be placed on our site, but also promoted on social media so we’re looking for an exciting design
  • This will also be in our welcome email to members.

Full Description & Project Guide
Every new member that comes to Topcoder site should be able to quickly understand what his/ her steps to take should be to get started. That’s what we’re trying to show with this infographic. There are a couple of steps a person should do:

1.Compete Your Topcoder Profile - Upload a Photograph, Add your Skills, Hardware, and Education Details. This helps us get more work for our community.

2.Create your First Post in the Forums - Post about ‘why you are here’ and we will help you get the right resources and mentorship to get you started.

3.Join the Topcoder Nation Group - Say Hi, Introduce yourself and wait for our members from all around the world to welcome you!

4.Register for your First Challenge - Roll your sleeves up to jump into our world of challenges! Register for your first challenge to understand the whole life-cycle of a Topcoder Competition.

We will use this infographics in 2 ways: one to be placed on site so that’s why we need a design width of 1200px and the other use case is the inclusion on this infographic in the drip emails we send to new members when they first register on Topcoder, which has a width of only 355 px. We would like the information in the infographic to be easy to read in the email without having to click to expand, so plan your design for the small size first! Don’t add any small details or text that are not able to be read in such an email.

Here’s an example on how the drip email would look with such an infographic. Note: the small text is hard to read even here.

Use this drip email design with the placeholder to add your infographic in that place.

Size
  • Size 1 - web:  Width: 1200px x Height as much as needed
  • Size 2 - email: Width: 355px x Height as much as needed

Branding Guidelines
  • You can download the TC logo from here
  • These banners should follow the new style of topcoder.com and TCO20 look and feel. Note: you don’t need to use blobs, just use the same font families (Barlow Condensed for headlines and Roboto for regular text) and colors.
  • Here’s a link to the Topcoder GUI KIT to get an idea of colors and fonts
