Challenge Summary

Due to Covid-19, many people are working from home and big companies with offices that span the globe need to access people and resources for various tasks.  They would prefer to use their internal resources rather than using contractors.

U-Bahn needs a way to select people across its different businesses to locate and find people with different skill sets depending on certain needs.  The user needs to be able to search for people, groups, skills, location, availability, and be able to mark them if they want to book them for a task.

Round 1

1) Search

Round 2

1) Search
2) Edit
3) Upload
Challenge Goal
Design Focus should be on the entire Search process, the Upload process, and the Editing process (marking a person or groups to book for a task).  The designs don’t have to be pixel perfect, but we are looking for the processes and interactions for the 3 features mentioned.

Requirements

1) Search
  • The user needs to be able to search by:
    • Skills
      • .NET, API, React, C, Java, etc...
    • Achievements
      • MVP Member, Completed Projects, Rating, Certifications, etc...
    • Availability
      • Boolean field
    • Attributes
      • This is a custom field (name/value), each company has their own fields, for example:
        • Company A may have Title and Office;
        • Company B may have Cost Center and Relocation Readiness
        • Company C could have NDA and Identity Verified
    • Location
  • Results will show profiles of individual Members
  • Should be able to add/remove profiles to Groups
  • Should be able to change the availability for profiles

2) Edit
  • Allow the user to edit information from a member or:
    • Skills, Attributes, Achievements, Availability
  • Go to the Edit mode from search results when clicking on the Edit button.

3) Upload
  • Upload files to mass create users, attributes, skills, achievements.
  • Provide a way to download template files to be used for uploads.

Important:
  • We are looking for a simple and functional solution.
  • Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
  • All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance
  • Remember that we are looking for the processes and user interactions from beginning to end for each feature.  Being that this is a FAST challenge the UI doesn’t have to be perfect.

Target Devices:
  • Desktop: 1280px width with Height adjusted accordingly
