Challenge Summary

Welcome to “Talaria Forecasting Web App Redesign Challenge”! The goal of this challenge is to redesign specific user interfaces for a data analyst that looks through specific forecasting modeling and prediction charts. We already create the application, but we need to update the UI and UX  so we can make sure the app is able to accommodate and simulate all the latest requests from our user. We are looking forward to seeing your creative approach and UI/UX ideas to create an intuitive, elegant, and easy to use interactive engagement features to execute specific user stories mentioned below.

Round 1

Submit your initial designs for the checkpoint review. Feel free to add any screens which are necessary to explain your concept:

BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
  • Talaria providers sell products such as broadband and mobile phone contracts
  • These contracts consist of products of different types and capabilities
  • These products are sold in different markets, such as Consumer and Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
  • We’ve created a design screen for the forecast application that able to forecast customer products based on volume base, gross adds, leavers, net migrations, average revenue per user, revenue, re-grades/upsell, etc but it’s not yet able to meet our user app expectation
  • In this challenge, we want to redesign the features and interactions of the forecasting application. You will need to create all user stories mentioned in the challenge details below and update our existing design to be able to cover these user stories

DESIGN CONSIDERATION
  • We’d like to maintain the main user interface as it is for the most part. Only made enhancements that focused on specific user-stories and actions tied to it.

SCREEN REQUIREMENTS
For this challenge, we are looking for the below user stories to be created in your submission. The screen functionality details listed below need to be applied as much as possible. However, If there is a better way to accomplish the same goal, then feel free to take creative liberties:

  • Modify and update our design base to follow the latest request before starting the user stories mentioned below.

IMPORTANT
  • Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles should work together
  • All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance

MARVEL PROTOTYPE
  • We need you to upload your screens to Marvel App
  • Please request for marvel app in the challenge forum 
  • You MUST include your Marvel app URL (in your marvel app prototype, click on share and then copy the link & share it with your notes/comment on this link while you upload)

DOCUMENTATION
BRANDING
  • Follow our existing design source file for the Talaria Style Guide and make sure to keep your design consistent
  • In terms of buttons and form elements, you are free to improve them (make them more modern) but keep the same color palette 

TARGET DEVICE
  • Desktop size: 1920px width with Height adjusted as much as needed

TARGET AUDIENCE
  • The data analysts and business analysts

JUDGING CRITERIA
  • User Experience of the application
  • How intuitive is the design solution
  • Completeness and accuracy of your design to accommodate our user request
  • Consistency with Talaria Style Guide and Main User Interface

SUBMISSION AND SOURCE FILES
Submission File
  • Submit all JPG/PNG image files based on Challenge submission requirements stated above

Source File
  • All source files of all graphics created in either Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, or Sketch and saved as an editable layer

Declaration File    
  • Declaration files document contains the following information:
    • Stock Photos Name and Source Links from an allowed sources
    • Stock Art/Icons Name and Source Links from an allowed sources
    • Fonts Name and Source Links source from an allowed source
    • MarvelApp share link for review 

FINAL FIXES
  • As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify content or user click paths

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
