Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "Topcoder Profile Design Concepts Challenge"! In this challenge, we are looking for design concepts and ideas for the work history component of the Topcoder profile page for our members

Note: this is a Sketch only challenge, so your design can only be created in Sketch

Read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. Let us know if you have any questions in the challenge forum.
Challenge Objectives
The scope of this challenge is the following:
  • 1 component in desktop and mobile format
  • Come up with creative concepts for showing the work history
  • We are NOT looking for you to design an entire profile page – just to add one component
  • The design should follow the Topcoder OLD brand as mentioned in the branding section

Project Background
  • The information should be engaging and easy to scan for
  • The component we are designing is for Topcoder members and also customers who would be interesting in seeing previous experience of a member for a gig work job
  • The fields added should be based on the data from the Account Settings screens

Screens

1. Topcoder Profile – Work History Component
The current Topcoder profile is looking like this. When applying for the Gig Work opportunities, we would like our customers to quickly check the profile of a member and see his past work history.

Objective:
  • Create your design based on this profile page. You can download the source file from here (Sketch file) and add your design inside of it.
  • Think about where and how would you add the work history component
  • We plan to update the Account Settings page where the user will input the details of the jobs he had before, to look like in this design (check all screens in this Marvel project). The same details will be displayed on the profile page.
  • Each job entry should include the following fields:
    • Company name
    • Position
    • Industry
    • City
    • Start date
    • End date
    • Job description
    • Output and achievements within the role
    • Technologies
  • A person could have 1 or more jobs where he worked on. Keep this in mind when planning your page.
  • The style of the design should follow the old Topcoder style (check the branding section), which is different than the Account Settings one
  • Do your research! How are other companies such as LinkedIn, Toptal and other hiring/ freelancer portals showing this? Can be a list of items or a timeline – we’re looking forward to your creative ideas on how to represent this the best.

Size
  • Web application: 1440 px (width) x height as much as needed (place your design inside the source file provided)
  • Mobile application: 750 px (width) x height as much as needed (we have no design for it but just take a screenshot from any profile and add the work history component there)

Branding
When adding the work history component, make sure it fits with the rest of the content on that page. This page is following this Topcoder GUI KIT in big lines, but not for fonts.
  • Fonts to use: use SofiaPro font family or a similar font if you don’t have that one
  • Colors: use any color from the Color Pallete of this GUI KIT
  • If you use any buttons, it should follow this style
