Challenge Summary



Welcome to the "Odyssey Banking App - Alert Dashboard Design Challenge". This is the 3rd challenge from the Odyssey Banking App project, in the previous challenge, we already create the necessary screens for security and customer dashboard (summary information),  and in this challenge, we will create new screens focused on the Alert dashboard for both Odyssey Online Banking (via Responsive web app) and Odyssey Mobile Banking (via Hybrid Mobile app).

CHALLENGE OBJECTIVES
  • Create 6 User Stories and related UI/UX screens for Alert Dashboard in both Odyssey Online Banking application (Responsive Web App) and Mobile Banking application (Hybrid Mobile App)
 
BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
  • Our goal in this project is to create strong direct relationships with our customers. We want to provide everything - a blended bank, preferential banking for their family, and open to non-banking services via our digital app (Responsive Web App and Mobile Hybrid App)
  • This project goal is to create two banking applications for the Odyssey customers:
    • Odyssey Online Banking (Responsive Web App), and
    • Odyssey Mobile Banking (Hybrid Mobile App in iOS and Android)
  • This challenge will focus on creating UI/UX screens for one of the important feature which is Alert Dashboard for both the Odyssey Online Banking (Responsive Web App) and the Odyssey Mobile Banking (Hybrid Mobile App)
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
  • Individual or Business Customer that already open a Bank account and want to use the Online Banking and/or Mobile Banking Features
 
PERSONA
  • Name: Ryan Reynolds
  • Occupation: Food Truck Vendor
  • Goals: Able to Monitor his financial status periodically and gets notified asap when something important happen in his Bank account
  • Frustrations: Most of the time notification comes from the bank is not what he really care/wants
  • Wants: Manage alert/notification/confirmation about his banking activity and financial status and get information that important for him asap
 
DESIGN CONSIDERATION
  • Use the Odyssey logo in your design (take it from our 1st place)

  • Seamless Navigation and enhanced Features
  • Reduce the number of interactions required from users as much as possible
  • Use color or great visual comparison to highlight a comparison of important information
  • Intuitive for the user; should never be left asking "what do I do next?"
  • Easy viewing for pages that may be over overcrowded with information
  • For any photos, please use images from Unsplash or Pexels that not require copyright or commercial license

00) General Requirements
  • Create a new menu called “Manage Alerts” in the left side navigation
 
01) Alert Dashboard
  • As a customer, I should be able to view the Alert dashboard when I click on 'Manage Alerts' option from the left side navigation so that I can view and configure the various alerts
  • As a Customer when I click the 'View Alerts FAQ' link on the Alert Dashboard I should be able to see the Alert FAQ Page, so that I can understand the generic queries around Alert Configuration
  • As a Customer when I click the 'View Alerts Demo' link on the Alert Dashboard I should be able to see the Alert Demo, so that I can understand the overall process to configure alerts
  • As a customer, when I land on the Alert Dashboard, I should see the message "Please keep contact information updated .Update contact details from Profile section", so that it can act as a reminder to update the contact details

02) Account Alert 
  • As a customer, when I select 'Accounts Alert' from the Alert Dashboard, I should see a drop drop down list with all the Accounts I hold with the Bank, so that I can configure the respective alerts for the account.
  • It should have an Account Drop Down List auto-populated with the accounts the customer holds with the Bank (there are 3 accounts). The Customer's Favorite Account should be the Default value for the Account Dropdown:
 
  • Savings Account
    • As a customer, when I select one of the Saving Account from Account Dropdown on the Account Alert Dashboard, I should see the various alerts configurable for a savings account.
    • As a customer, when I wish to configure the Transaction alerts for a particular account, I should be able to do it, so that I am always informed when an transaction is performed on my account.
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Low Balance' alerts for a particular account, so that I am always informed whenever my Account Balance drops below the Minimum Threshold set by me
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'High Balance' alerts for a particular account, so that I am always informed whenever my Account Balance rises above the Maximum Threshold set by me
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Weekly Account Balance Alert ' for a particular account, so that I am aware of my account Balances regularly
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Returned Cheque Alert' for a particular account, so that I get intimated by the Bank whenever a Cheque is dishonored
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Cheque Cleared Alert' for a particular account, so that I get intimated a deposited Cheque is cleared/sanctioned
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Withdrawal Alert' for a particular account, so that I get notified whenever money is withdrawn from my account

  • Current Account
    • As a customer, when I select one of the Current Account from Account Dropdown on the Account Alert Dashboard, I should see the various alerts configurable for a Current account.
    • As a customer, when I wish to configure the Transaction alerts for a particular account, I should be able to do it, so that I am always informed when an transaction is performed on my account.
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Low Balance' alerts for a particular account, so that I am always informed whenever my Account Balance drops below the Minimum Threshold set by me
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'High Balance' alerts for a particular account, so that I am always informed whenever my Account Balance rises above the Maximum Threshold set by me
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Negative Balance Alert ' alerts for a particular account, so that I am always informed whenever my Account Balance drops to Negative

  • Loan/Lending Account
    • As a customer, when I select one of the Loan Account from Account Dropdown on the Account Alert Dashboard, I should see the various alerts configurable for a Loan account.
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Loan Payment Due ' alerts for a particular Loan so that I am always informed whenever Installment Payment is due
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Loan Payment Overdue ' alerts for a particular Loan so that I am always informed whenever Installment Payment is Overdue
    • As a customer, I would like to have the option to configure 'Loan Payment Applied' alerts for a particular Loan so that I am always informed whenever Installment Payment is applied

  • Credit Card Alert
    • As a customer, when I select Cards Alert form the Alert Dashboard, I should be able to view all my cards so that I can configure and manage alert set at the card level
    • As a customer, when I select 'Credit Card Alerts' from the Alert Dashboard, I should see a drop drop down list with all the Credit Cards I hold with the Bank, so that I can configure the respective alerts for the account
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Card Transaction' Alert so that I am notified whenever any transaction is performed with my card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Card International Transaction' Alert so that I am notified whenever any overseas transaction is performed with my card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Limit Reached' Alert so that I am notified whenever I exhaust my Credit Limit so that I don't incur a penalty
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Card Bill Due' Alert so that I am notified whenever I have a bill due payment so that I do not miss a Bill Payment date which results in a penalty
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Card Due Expiry' Alert so that I am notified whenever my Credit card is about to expire so that I can apply for a new card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Card Expired' Alert so that I am notified whenever my Credit card expires so that I can apply to renew the card/apply for a new card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Credit Card Statement' Alert so that I am notified whenever my Credit card statement is generated and get details on Total Amount Due, Minimum Amount Due and Payment Due Date.
 
  • Debit Card Alert
    • As a customer, when I select 'Debit Card Alerts' from the Alert Dashboard, I should see a drop-down list with all the Debit Cards I hold with the Bank, so that I can configure the respective alerts for the account
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'ATM Withdrawal alerts' for a particular Debit card so that I am notified every time money is withdrawn using my card including the Location and time of Withdrawal
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Debit Card International Transaction' Alert so that I am notified whenever any overseas transaction is performed with my Debit card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Debit Card Due Expiry' Alert so that I am notified whenever my Debit card is about to expire so that I can apply for a new card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Debit Card Expired' Alert so that I am notified whenever my Debit card expires so that I can apply to renew the card/apply for a new card
    • As a customer, I should be able to configure 'Transaction Above Threshold ' Alert so that I am notified whenever my Debit card is used for any Transaction which for a high value and is above the Threshold value I have set.
 
05) Bill Pay Alert
  • As a customer, when I select 'Bill Pay Alert' form the Alert Dashboard, I should be able to view all Bill categories that can be configured for Alerts so that I can configure the relevant alerts
  • As a customer, I should be able to view the Bill Pay Alerts that I have/had configured so that I can make necessary updates as and when required
  • As a customer, I should be able to add new Reminders to the existing list of Bill Pay Alerts as and when required
  • As a customer, I should be able to add new Biller to the existing list of Biller so that I can set up the Bill Pay Alert correctly

06) Alert History
  • As a customer, when I select 'Alert History' form the Alert Dashboard, I should be able to view a list of all Alert that were trigger to me over the last 90 Calendar days
  • As a customer, I should be able to view the Account Alerts which were trigger to me over the last 90 Calendar days
  • As a customer, I should be able to view the Bill Pay Alerts which were trigger to me over the last 90 Calendar days
  • As a customer, I should be able to view the Card Alerts which were trigger to me over the last 90 Calendar days
  • As a customer, I should be able to view the Security Alerts which were trigger to me over the last 90 Calendar days

Submission File

  • Declaration files document contains the following information:

    • Fonts Name and Links source from allowed sources
 
Source Files
  • All source files of all graphics created in either Sketch (Primary Tool Recommendation), Adobe XD, Figma, or Photoshop and saved as an editable layer
 
FINAL FIXES
  • As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and final fixes (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
