Welcome to the “Odyssey Banking App - Account Servicing Web Design Challenge". This is the 5th challenge from the Odyssey Banking App project. In the previous challenges, we already created several important features (security, customer dashboard, account dashboard, alert management, transaction) for the Online Banking application. In this challenge, we will create additional UI/UX screens on Account Servicing for both Individual and Business User. 

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. Let us know if you have any questions in the challenge forum!

CHALLENGE OBJECTIVES
  • Create additional interaction screens based on provided user story and related UI/UX screens and interactions for Account Servicing, for both Individual and Business User.
 
BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
  • Our goal in this project is to create strong direct relationships with our customers. We want to provide everything - a blended bank, preferential banking for their family, and open to non-banking services via our digital app (Responsive Web App and Mobile Hybrid App). 
  • This project goal is to create two banking applications for the Odyssey customers:
    • Odyssey Online Banking (Responsive Web App), and
    • Odyssey Mobile Banking (Hybrid Mobile App in iOS and Android)
  • This challenge will focus on creating additional UI/UX screens on Account Servicing for both Individual and Business User UI/UX. Our focus on this challenge will be only Odyssey Online Banking (Responsive Web App).
  • The Account Servicing will consist of 10 major feature elements that need to be simulated, they are:

TARGET AUDIENCE
  • Individual and/or Business Customer that already open a Bank account and want to use the Online Banking and/or Mobile Banking Features
 
PERSONA
  • Name: David Bautista
  • Occupation: Book shop 
  • Goals: Saving money to open his own bookshop
  • Frustrations: Need better financial planning to reach his goal sooner 
  • Wants: Application that provides simulation and ability to manage his personal finance.
 
DESIGN CONSIDERATION
  • MUST strictly follow our Branding Guidelines
  • MUST pass WCAG accessibility standards. You are allowed to change some colors or layout if it can increase the accessibility. You can use the Inclusive design approach for this. Some example for inclusive design: Inclusive Design Principle or Microsoft Inclusive Design
  • Follow the naming convention in the approved design. For example, as much as possible, only capitalize the first letter of two words format such as “Personal information”. Two letters can be capitalized if they belong to abbreviations such as “Secure PIN” or “User ID”.
  • Modern, simple, and clean design
  • Reduce the number of interactions required from users as much as possible
  • Use color or great visual comparison to highlight a comparison of important information
  • Intuitive for the user; should never be left asking "what do I do next?"
  • Easy viewing for pages that may be over overcrowded with information

01. Profile Management
  • Applicable to: Individual and Business customer.
  • User/customer can access Profile Management from “Profile” on top header navigation
  • Update contact details (OLB_AS_01 and OLB_AS_02)
    • As a Individual customer, I should be able to update the below personal details from the Online Banking Portal,  so that my details are up-to-date with the Bank:
      • 1) Contact Number
      • 2) Email address
      • 3) Residential address 
      • 4. Correspondence Address

  • Reminder to update contact details (OLB_AS_06)
    • As a customer(Individual/Business), I should be able to view notification to update my Contact details at regular intervals so that I verify that my details are the same. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
 
02. Debit Card Management
  • Applicable to: Individual and Business customer.
  • User/customer can view and manage their Debit Cards that are linked to current account under Home or Account and Loans.
  • View and manage the Debit Cards: OLB_AS_04 and OLB_AS_05
    • As a Individual customer, I should be able to view and manage the Debit Cards that are linked to my current accounts from the Online Banking Portal. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
    • As a Business customer, I should be able to view and manage the Debit Cards assigned to me that are linked to the Business current account, from the Online Banking Portal. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • View and Activate the available Debit Card: OLB_AS_24 and OLB_AS_25
    • As a Individual customer, I should be able to view and Activate the available Debit Card. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
    • As a Full Access Business customer, I should be able to view and Activate the available Debit Card. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • View and Raise Activation Request for the available Debit Card, only applicable for Non Full Access Business customer: OLB_AS_26
    • As a Non Full Access Business customer, I should be able to view and raise Activation Request for the available Debit Card. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • View the status for the Activation Request of available Debit Card, only applicable for Non Full Access Business customer: OLB_AS_27

03. Transaction History
  • Applicable to: Individual and Business customer
  • User/customer can access Transaction History from card “Transaction” on the Home/Dashboard.

    • As a customer (Individual/Business), I should be able to perform a transaction search from the last 18 months. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • View Cleared and Uncleared Items: OLB_AS_08
    • As a customer (Individual/Business), I should be able to View Cleared and Uncleared items. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Access Mini Statements: OLB_AS_09
    • As a customer(Individual/Business), I should be able to access mini statements (last 20 transactions) for my accounts from the Online Banking Portal
 
04. Statements
  • User/customer can view the statements under “eStatements” from left navigation.
  • All of these statements are downloadable in PDF formats

  • As a customer(Individual/Business), I should be able to search, view and download the below statements for my accounts:
    • 1. eStatement (All products)
    • 2. Statement of Interest (Current and Savings)

05. Account Closure
  • User/customer can access Account Closure under “Account and Loans” from left navigation.
  • Individual customer
    • 1. Initiate closure for Fixed ISA Accounts: OLB_AS_11
      • As a Individual customer, I should be able to Request Closure for Fixed ISA Accounts I hold with the Bank via the Online Banking Portal. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
    • 2. initiate closure for Junior/Variable Rate/Online Bond Accounts: OLB_AS_12

06. Account Maturity and Switching
  • User/customer can access Account Maturity and Switching under “Account and Loans” from left navigation.
  • Individual customer
  • 1.  Switch one Fixed Term Bond Accounts to another Fixed term Bond when Fixed Term Bond account is going to mature within 14 days: OLB_AS_20
    • As a Individual customer, I should be able to switch one Fixed Term ISA Accounts to another Fixed term ISA via the Online Banking Portal when my Fixed Term Bond account is going to mature within 14 days. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • 2.  Switch Fixed Term Bond Accounts to another Fixed term Bond when the Bonus rate on my Bond Account is going expire within 14 days: OLB_AS_21
    • As a Individual customer, I should be able to switch one Fixed Term Bond Accounts to another Fixed term Bond via the Online Banking Portal when the Bonus rate on my Bond Account is going expire within 14 days. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • 3. Switch one Online Easy Access Account to another Online Easy Access Account when my Fixed Term Bond account is going to mature within 14 days: OLB_AS_22

07. Access Management 
  • Only applicable for Business customer and can be accessed from Access Management under “Profile” by clicking Manage my account on top header navigation..
  • View all the "Pending Requests" in my queue: OLB_AS_28
    • As a Business customer, I should be able to view all the "Pending Requests" in my queue. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Full Access Business Customer, Change Access Levels of the Other Customers Attached at My Business Account Level: OLB_AS_33
    • In PROFILE MANAGEMENT: A Full Access Business Customer will be able to all the Users attached to a particular Business Account (Current/Savings/ or Loan). For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Full Access Business Customer, Activate Debit Cards for different Access levels for Business Current Account: OLB_AS_34
    • As a Full Access Business Customer, I should be able to Activate Debit Cards for different Access levels for Business Current Account. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
 
08. Account Management
  • Customer (Individual/Business) can access Access Management under “Profile” by clicking Manage my account on top header navigation.
  • Individual customer: Change the Nominated Account: OLB_AS_30
    • As a Individual customer, I should be able to change the nominated account which is mapped to my Online easy access account from the Online Banking Portal. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Individual/Business customer, Order Cheque Books: OLB_AS_31
    • As a customer(Individual/Business), I should be able to order cheque Books from the Online Banking Portal. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Individual/Business customer, Order Giro Books: OLB_AS_32
    • As a Full Access Business Customer, I should be able to change Access levels of the other customers attached at my Business Account level. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
 
09. Saving Account Management
  • Customer can access Saving Account Management from “Account and Loans” from left side navigation.
  • Individual customer: View the status of my Online ISA Account: OLB_AS_35
    • As an Individual Customer I should be able to View the status of my Online ISA Account. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Individual customer, Reactivate my Online ISA Account: OLB_AS_36
    • As an Individual Customer I should be able to 'Reactivate' my Online ISA Account, in case it is Active. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
  • Individual/Business customer, contact Customer care when I select Flexibond Account: OLB_AS_37
    • As a Customer(Individual/ Business), I should be able to view the option to contact Customer care when I select Flexibond Account in my Dashboard. For more details please check acceptance criteria on the XLS.
 
10. Customer Management
  • Customer can access Customer Management from “Account and Loans” from left side navigation.
  • Individual/Business customer: View the Cashflow Forecast: OLB_AS_38

  • Individual/Business customer, View the Account Analysis: OLB_AS_39

  • We need you to upload your screens to Marvel App

SUBMISSION AND SOURCE FILES
Submission File
  • Submit JPG/PNG image files based on Challenge submission requirements stated above

Source Files
All source files of all graphics created in either Sketch (Primary Tool Recommendation), Adobe XD, Figma, or Photoshop and saved as an editable layer
 
FINAL FIXES
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors

How To Submit

  • New to Studio? ‌Learn how to compete here
  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and final fixes (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
