Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "BUMP app Logo Design Challenge"! The goal of this challenge is to design a logo for an application that simulates "bumping" into a colleague in the hallway in this "remote" working time. This application will be called "Bump".

Read the challenge specification carefully and watch the challenge forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. Feel free to ask any questions in the challenge forum!

Round 1

The initial design for a Checkpoint Feedback:
  • Bump logo (use the TEMPLATE)
  • Any notes you wish to share with the client

Round 2

Final Design plus Checkpoint Updates:
  • Bumplogo (use the TEMPLATE) with all checkpoint feedback implemented
  • Any notes you wish to share with the client

FULL REQUIREMENTS

  • The challenge goal is to design a logo that will simulate "Bumping" into a colleague in the hallway in this "remote" working time
  • The application will be called "Bump" and this is the words you should include in your logo design

  • You are free to be creative in this challenge, you can design a new logo or choose to do a better/different spin on the existing design or something unique that they feel conveys something similar
  • The Logo needs to be simple, new, and fresh looking!
  • The font selection is up to designers but needs to comply with Topcoder Font policy
  • We would like to see the logo in full color and single color as well
  • We would like to see the icon of the logo in full color and single color as well
  • Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down. This may mean creating a simplified "small" version for use as icons, favicons, etc.
  • Submit your design within the provided LOGO TEMPLATE
  • You need to make sure your logo looks good on both light and dark backgrounds

JUDGING CRITERIA

  • Relevance: How does your logo convey and represent the Bump application?
  • Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional, and clean? Is the composition/layout well done? Have you used typography in a meaningful way?
  • Concept: Does your icon present a new and interesting concept or idea?


STOCK PHOTOS, FONTS, AND ICONS


SUBMISSION & SOURCE FILES

  • A ZIP file called Source.zip file: Put your design files created in Illustrator, Sketch, XD, or in any vector tool
  • A ZIP file called Submission.zip: Show your design in JPG/PNG format using the template
  • A TXT file called declaration.txt: Put notes or instructions about your logo design there

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

Screening:

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
