Challenge Details
The goal of this challenge is to design the look and feel of a native iPad experience.

Problem: Family Fun'd
Today, families coordinate their plans based on the overall budget/funds available within the family. This practice helps new couples make plans together based on shared goals (e.g., wedding, build a baby's room, plan a home renovation, family holiday travel, new car, Disney World trip, backyard swimming pool, college fund, etc.)

In this design challenge, we are looking to conceive a tablet application where couples and families can set up their "goals" and make payments towards these goals (as a family) to help achieve what the family wants to accomplish.

Possible application features:
  • Allow the primary Admin to create the account and invite family members to collaborate.
  • Allow family members (Parents, Kids, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc.)  to make payments by credit card, automatic transfers (weekly, monthly, etc.), external services like Paypal, Payoneer, Apple Pay, Bitcoin, and more.
  • Goals are set up and shared with the family. Voting on the goal/plan everyone wants to contribute towards.
  • Alerts and notifications
  • Money/fund preferences. e.g., block the money for a year (time) or until the goal amount is reached (funds)
  • Smart Dashboard - provides an overview summary of goals, funding, deposits, and payments.

Design Challenge: Tablet Status
Design a dashboard for the Family Fun'd
  • Think of how the dashboard would be used and would be "fun" for the family to track towards their goals.
  • How might the dashboard information quickly let the user know the status?
  • Provide a simple and graphical way to represent the goal or goals and the progression to achieve them.
  • Dashboard recommendations based on targets and dates
  • Navigation: What elements make sense to have in the navigation according to the user story? Think about crucial actions such as: Add money through payments, deposits, credit card, etc. Invite users, alerts, set goals, etc.

Note: You have 60 minutes, so make the most of it.
