Challenge Details
The goal of this challenge is to design the look and feel of a Responsive Desktop experience.

Problem: Gig Market
Today the information revolution allows workers worldwide access to a variety of marketplaces for gig/freelance opportunities where people can perform a myriad of jobs from the comfort of their home. One problem on the demand side of this marketplace is locating talent and creating collaborative teams to work on projects seamlessly.

If you want to outsource the design and development of a mobile application, typically, you would set up a team or hire a company that runs this on your behalf. What if instead, everyone had access to an advisor that gathers the information about your project, then the advisor assembles a team composed of workers belonging to any gig network, including a project manager you would contact and then run your project for you?

This application database would leverage the trusted Gig networks' profile information, such as Topcoder, Upwork, 99designs, Fiverr, Toptal. It can combine members based on their experience, skills, ratings, and availability. Combined with the project information (what is to be built), it provides a proposal as an outcome: a proposition that contains the suggested person or team, cost, and time to be completed.

Similarly, if I want to build a chair, it should ask the right questions and propose a team of one, two, or whatever it considers necessary according to the AI recommendations.

Possible application features:
  • A chatbot as part of the intake process: conversation to gather project requirements
  • A proposal screen: showcases a team of selected members plus the costs.
  • Member details with skills and experience = high-level metrics about each person (percentage match, top skills, experience level).

Design Challenge: Chatbot Intake Form
For the challenge, we are looking for a desktop responsive application that fulfills the following success path for the user searching for a team or individual for a project:

Design a chatbot intake flow that sustains a conversation with the user to gather the information needed to generate a quote. What questions should be included by the bot? Current budget? Deadline? Once the information is captured, the user is presented with a list of proposed gig workers and can filter or replace the team members.

Note: You have 60 minutes, so make the most of it.
