CHALLENGES OBJECTIVES
At Topcoder we have a lot of gig work opportunities for our Topcoder members and our gig workers are definitely rock stars! The rest of our community can learn from those currently in a gig and we want to share that.

In this challenge we would like to design an infographic to highlight the main things from a gig worker’s experience:
  • 1 infographic concept, 3 themes
  • 3 screens
  • Desktop size

PROJECT BACKGROUND
  • The purpose of this project is to promote success stories of our members  to the community
  • By looking at the designs, the viewers should get a quickly understanding of the key aspects of infographic
  • The infographic will be shared on social media so we’re looking for an exciting design

FULL DESCRIPTION & PROJECT GUIDE
Every member in the community should be aware of the gig work and the benefits of applying to it.  The best way to get that, is by hearing the members testimonials. This challenge is part of a series of actions we are taking to increase awareness of gig work within the community.  In essence, the design should contain a couple of essential information about the gig work of a member and how it went. You can think of it like a mini interview, presented in a fun and engaging way.

The infographic should include the following:
  • Topcoder logo
  • TItle: “ Topcoder’ Gig Work Success Stories:  Meet Nightwolf”
  • User Data: photo, handle, “Member since 2008”, country
  • Questions and answers as listed below

Q1: What was the Gig Work you worked on?
A1: Gig Work: Javascript Front End Developer
      Location: Any location
      Payment: 1250 - 1650 (USD) / week
      Duration: 5 weeks
Note: the information for this answer will always be structured like this

Q2:  How was your gig work experience?
A2:  It was great! While I enjoy the diversity of technologies and domains in Topcoder challenges, I also enjoy the depth, larger scale and ownership in the Gig Work and working with a team.
Note: this answer could be shorter/longer than this too.

Q3: Would you recommend Topcoder Gig Work to other members or freelancers and why?
A3: Yes, I can say if you are a freelancer, you need to try this new way to work.
Note: this answer could be shorter/longer than this too.

For the first round, we would like to see the concept for the first infographic designed - just one theme. Then for the final round, we’d like to see the other 2 themes as well. For the themes 2 and 3, don’t just copy the first infographic and change colors, be creative with them!
We would like the infographics to look engaging and have the text easy to read. As much as possible, try to keep a compact look and feel with an exciting and fun vibe.

Themes:
  • Theme 1: developer look - think at some cool visual design story related to coding and integrate them
  • Theme 2: space look - anything related to space, rockets, would fit  well here
  • Theme 3: freelancer look - here you can show the story of members working whenever, wherever they want (like in the nature on top of a mountain, etc)

STYLE
  • While we use the theme above, the look and feel should be fun and engaging. We are looking for your creativity here.
  • We also wish the style to look like it belongs to Topcoder: don’t limit your imagination to it, but it will help to use some of the waves, blobs, and Topcoder colors to bring the Topcoder style
  • Inspiration: check here for more ideas

SIZE
  • Web: width 1200 x height (as short as possible). We would like this to be a banner/infographic that we can post on social media and have as much as possible the text readable without clicking it to see more

BRANDING GUIDELINES
  • You can download the TC logo from here
  • Here’s a link to the Topcoder GUI KIT to get an idea of colors and fonts, but don't let the style influence you too much
  • Fonts: Barlow Condensed for headlines and Roboto for regular text
  • These banners should follow the style of topcoder.com. Note: you don’t need to use blobs, just use the same font families (Barlow Condensed for headlines and Roboto for regular text) and colors.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Your submission will be judged based on:
  • Creativity of design
  • How easy is to understand the steps needed to get started
