CHALLENGE SUMMARY

Welcome to the "Zuri Blood Pressure Responsive App Design Challenge"
In this challenge, we are looking for your help in providing an initial design direction and concepts for a health company.  This responsive web application will be used to collect multiple blood pressure (BP) readings.

Round 1

Please provide the following screens for the checkpoint along with your clickable Marvel prototype with hotspots.

  • Initial Zuri Blood Pressure Responsive App Design on Desktop
  • Initial Zuri Blood Pressure Responsive App Design on Mobile

Round 2

Please provide the following screens with checkpoint feedback incorporated for final review along with your clickable Marvel prototype with hotspots.

  • Final Zuri Blood Pressure Responsive App Design on Desktop
  • Final Zuri Blood Pressure Responsive App Design on Tablet
  • Final Zuri Blood Pressure Responsive App Design on Mobile

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Male 33-55
  • Female 40-60
  • Typically on web browser and care about their health

User Stories

  • Alex opens the app on a mobile browser so that he can enter his blood pressure measurement around 8am.
  • He accesses the landing page & sees
    • His previous blood pressure reading, if one exists.
    • An easy way for him to enter a new reading
  • When he clicks data from a previous entry, the app displays at least 2 Blood Pressure readings. Those readings should be from around the same time of day (to account for circadian rhythm)
  • Alex can read some information about blood pressure and its effects on his health in general, and can see where his average lands (normal, elevated, high, etc).
  • How can the app encourage Alex to complete an online purchase of medication?
  • Given the range of blood pressures, the app needs to suggest medicines that are appropriate for his blood pressure range.

FEATURES REQUIREMENTS

Create UX Design For collecting multiple blood pressure (BP) readings

  • The user needs the ability to enter their Blood Pressure manually.
  • The app needs to capture at least 2 BP readings, and those readings should be around the same time of day (e.g. accounting for circadian rhythm)
  • Consider guardrails for typos, high/low inputs, pulse pressure variances, transposing the diastolic w/systolic, etc.
    • Remember: Systolic BP is on the top; diastolic BP is on the bottom
    • A blood pressure of 80/100 may be transposed, or it could indicate a serious health issue that requires immediate medical attention.
  • Average the 2 or 3 BP readings in order to advance
    • Only those with an average systolic BP of 130 – 149 mmHg OR diastolic of 80 – 99 mmHg will advance
  • Create and think about how the Blood Pressure results should look?
  • The ultimate target is how to encourage users to support online purchase. How can the UX help the user determine which products are appropriate for him to use?.
  • For this challenge we just need you to focus on the main flow of the application.

EXPLORATION SCORE

In terms of expectations, we would like to measure the concept against the following in the one to ten scales:

  • Creativity: 10
    • 1: barely new ideas
    • 10: a utopic product but with features that can be fully implemented
  • Aesthetics: 8
    • 1: low-fidelity design, wireframe, or plain sketch
    • 10: top-notch finished looking visual design
  • Exploration: 10
    • 1: strictly follow an existing reference or production guideline
    • 10: open to alternative workflows/features not listed here that would help the overall application
  • Branding: 4
    • 1: don’t care at all about the branding just functionality
    • 10: without a properly branded product there is no success
