Challenge Summary

Welcome to the TCO21 Regional -  UI Design Tournament  Round 2! This is a bracket-style design tournament where you must battle another designer to move forward in the tournament. This is a single-elimination tournament! We have 24 designers who will battle it out over two days to be the TCO21 Regional UI Design Champion!

Showcasing your concepts and skills in this challenge will determine your placement in the next round.

Analyze the design problem and provide a design concept and visual solution on how the application might look and work.

At Topcoder, we are always pushing you to think about the user, the human experience, and being bold in your design decisions. Take some risks and have fun designing!

This is it! 60 minutes to rapidly design a user interface (UI) that conveys your thoughts and solves the design problem!

ALL TOPCODER DESIGN RULES APPLY. Entries must be your original work and must not infringe on the copyright or licenses of others. All standard Topcoder Terms, Topcoder Policies apply to this challenge. Your design must be created by you and be original to you. You can be inspired by design research, but copying and submitting someone else's designs is against Topcoder policies and will not be tolerated.

RESPECT OTHER DESIGNERS. If you have any doubts, ask!

CHALLENGE DETAILS
The goal of this challenge is to design the look and feel of a Desktop experience.

At Topcoder we have the new Topcoder Forums and we also have Community Slack. We are looking to integrate Slack, Discord, or a similar “real-time” collaboration/chat tool for the Topcoder community to hang out, collaborate, share or just talk about your day via your computer or phone.

Problem: Welcome to Topcoder “Chat”

When a new or existing Topcoder member wants to join Community Slack there is no clear member experience for knowing about Community Slack, knowing how to register, or even knowing “why” they should sign-up and be part of the conversation!

For the next 60 minutes, we would like you to focus on the Desktop user experience of a Topcoder member learning, registering, and joining the Topcoder Community “conversation” (Slack, Discord, or similar application). This should be a page (or steps) that a member would see during onboarding or be able to find to understand what it is, why they should register (with their existing Topcoder handle), and join in on the fun!

They can use the web version of the Topcoder “conversation” app (so Slack, Discord, etc.) or download the app and the mobile version and connect their Topcoder account.

Keep it simple and inviting! This is where the community is talking, learning, and following in real-time!
