CHALLENGE DETAILS
The goal of this challenge is to design the look and feel of a Tablet experience.
Let’s take a step back and think about new members at Topcoder! There are over 10,000 new people that join Topcoder a month. Once a new member registers they are presented with a Welcome to the Community page with things they can do. New members are presently presented with “Gig Work” and “Practice”. We realize that this isn’t the best experience or even the key things that matter to a member. The majority of members click on “Go To Practice”.
Problem: Start your Journey
This is the first thing a new member will experience! What should be captured here? If it’s a 50/50 (or other directional solution) page does it send members to competitions, gigs, competitive programming, and learn? We also have onboarding steps like setting up your profile and payments… this page cannot contain everything.
:30 Minutes
For the next 30 minutes, we are looking for your quick UX concepts on the new member “Start” page.
Keep it simple and inviting! Is it about capturing/showing everything or keeping it super simple with clear 1,2,3, steps? How much does the previous Round 3 challenge also play into your UX decisions?
