Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "HealthSparq - PowerBI DViz Dashboard UI Design Challenge".
In this challenge, we are looking to create a dashboard web application for Member Experience Team (MET) users to view several measures captured for HealthSparq in PowerBI.
Read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. Let us know if you have any questions in the challenge forum!

Submit your initial designs for a checkpoint feedback
As part of your checkpoint submission, you must upload your submission to MarvelApp so we can provide direct feedback on your designs. Please include the MarvelApp URL in your notes.txt

CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
Our client is Wellmark and they are a leading health insurance company based in the US. HealthSparq is one of many customer-facing Wellmark digital properties that we are looking to analyze. We are wanting to better understand the interactions and experiences that our customers have with a given property. We believe that the measures defined in our requirements will help to paint the picture of the member experience.

  • Overall UI design and UX should be engaging and easy-to-use.

  • Creativity: Impactful; the solution is different or unique from what is already out there and can be implemented.
  • Exploration: Flexible; follow the provided screen requirements section and propose improvements or different paths that positively impact the user goals.
  • Aesthetics: Hi-fidelity design; provide a top-notch finished-looking visual design.
  • Branding: Flexible; follow the provided guidelines and suggest improvements where seem appropriate and in line with the goals.

POWER BI REQUIREMENTS
  • All principles of good UX design e.g. minimize user clicks, make the experience more intuitive, minimal time to reach desired selection criteria, store user selections for multiple reports and performance, good color and font themes, etc, these are all critical success factors for this challenge.
  • Must follow Power BI Design Best Practices and also take a look at the Design Goals and Principles
  • Please do some research on the Power BI software and get familiar with its purpose, limitations, and what's possible.

SCREEN REQUIREMENTS
1) Dashboard

For this challenge, we are looking for you to design the different visualizations for the following list of measure charts graphics.

Consider these aspects:
  • The number of final pages will be determined fully by you in your solution.
  • Avoid a single page with a very long scrolling
  • Consider a navigation that allows the user to move across the different visualizations or pages.
  • Provide every drill down interaction (if applicable) and data details (hover, click path) for each chart.
  • Also consider global interactions that make the overall UX simple and smooth: elements like filters, search, and sorting features must be included.
  • Your design must follow PowerBI rules and compatibility
  • The UI should be high fidelity design

Required Visualizations by category
A) Ease of site usage
  • Average Number of Searches per Visit: Number of searches a member submits while using HealthSparq tool every visit
  • Cost Estimator-related Call Rate: Percentage of calls related to estimating cost fielded by CSAs and Care Management
  • Cost Estimator to Call Channel Switch: Description: Percentage of members who use the Cost Estimator tool who call in to Wellmark about cost estimations within 24 hours
  • Provider Finder-related Call Rate: Percentage of calls related to finding a provider fielded by CSAs and Care Management
  • Provider Finder to Call Channel Switch: Percentage of members who use the Provider Finder tool who call in to Wellmark about finding a provider within 24 hours
  • Provider Finder Null Search Rate: Percentage of search results that return a null value
  • Cost Estimator Null Search Rate: Percentage of search results that return a null value
  • Average Number of Clicks: Average # of clicks by visitor per session

B) Best Care Option Selection
  • Provider Finder and Cost Estimator Usage Rate: Percentage of members looking for a provider who also estimates the costs.
  • Provider Finder INN Usage Rate: Percentage of members who use Wellmark's provider finder services and visit an in-network providers

C) Member Action Timeliness
  • Provider Visit Rate: Percentage of members who use Wellmark's provider finder services and visit an in-network providers.
  • Provider Days to Visit: Average number of days it takes a member to visit a provider after using a Wellmark provider finder service

D) Member Trust Sentiment
  • Rate of Inbound Calls to Verify Provider Finder Results: Percentage of inbound calls from members to verify the results they receive Volume in calls to verify provider finder.
  • Rate of Inbound Calls to Verify Cost Estimator Results: Percentage of inbound calls from members to verify the results they receive Volume in calls to verify cost estimator.

E) Information Availability
  • System Up Time: Percentage of Time Healthsparq system is up and available to members.
  • System Error Page Rates: Percentage of Error Pages a User hits while navigating HealthSparq site.

  • We need you to upload your screens to Marvel App
  • Please request for marvel app in the challenge forum
  • You MUST include your Marvel app URL (in your marvel app prototype, click on share and then copy the link & share it with your notes/comment on this link while you upload)

Submission File

Submit all JPG/PNG image files based on Challenge submission requirements stated above

Source File
All source files of all graphics created in either Adobe XD or Sketch or Figma and saved as an editable layer

Declaration File
Declaration files document contains the following information:
  • Stock Photos Name and Source Links from an allowed sources
  • Stock Art/Icons Name and Source Links from an allowed sources
  • Fonts Name and Source Links source from an allowed source
  • MarvelApp share link for review

FINAL FIXES
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify content or user click paths

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
