BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
Problem Statement
Today an average American teen is super busy with limited open space & time. Parents post COVID are struggling with new norms and new ways of working. Parents and kids have no quality time to talk about the essentials of life. Finance is an essential concept and subject for the first generation, underserved and underprivileged, people, of color. Our modern-day society also uses it to associate with a status. Yet, many middle & high schoolers in America have never learned basic finance principles or practiced them in their day-to-day lives.

Need for Financial Literacy

  • Individuals have to make more complicated financial decisions than in recent times.
  • USA Debt levels are unsustainable, and we need to act upon them urgently.
  • Learning and experiencing financial literacy by experience is expensive. It makes perfect sense to learn such scenarios in high school.
  • Financial education is for lifelong implementation. A learner keeps on learning and making better monetary judgments.
  • The implications of poor financial knowledge last for generations.

TARGET AUDIENCE
9-12 Students:
Today, students cannot make intelligent financial decisions. We aim to educate students on finance fundamentals and enable information-backed decision-making through this digital transformation initiative. We will help develop students' internal locus of control. As a result, students build self-esteem, confidence and make independent decisions. Students also become aware of unbanked and underbanked consequences and are encouraged to open bank accounts.

Community College Students:
Community college students will take finance courses for $99 each. This initiative will help bring down their tuition and make better choices while deciding on their college.
