Normally, all members are eligible to compete in posted software contests. However, there are a few special conditions that may make you ineligible to compete on a given contest.
If you are responsible for supporting a contest, you may not compete in that contest. You are typically responsible for supporting all contests you specify. Support responsibility should always be specified in the original competition specification. If there is any question of whether or not you are eligible, please contact the challenge manager or support@topcoder.com.
If you have access to a competition specification before the specification is public, you may not start working on the project before the specification is public.
If you reviewed a contest that failed and you had access to other members’ submissions, you may not submit for the reposted contests (but you may still review them).
Some clients may require agreement to additional terms and conditions before allowing a member to compete. These terms will be presented during registration - if you are ineligible per the terms or choose not to agree, you will not be able to register for the competition.
